We received a gift from one of our dear clients’/vendor/special PR Marketing Rep! We are just in love with our new hand towels! What more can we say other then the fact that she is so awesome! We were so lucky and blessed to have found her!

So you are wondering what has happened to The Regeti’s!!! Well we are here, catching up on a lot of lost sleep none the less however our little mini-vacation here has been packed full of wonderful moments as the holiday season approaches and the kid’s class parties kick into play and our parently duties have to kick into action we attend our oldest daughter Brittney’s chorus début… let’s just say it brought back some memories indeed of those chorus days when we would perform at the Mall! Oh my how happy am I that I am not the one on stage, but they did a great job and you could just tell the children were so very happy and proud of the time and effort that the group put into it they were awesome even though towards the end Santa Clause took over on the electric guitar and out did the chorus, but hey let’s just say thank goodness for photographs that tell a moment and a montage that can make the memory!
We also have been working very hard networking with some of the locals here in Warrenton getting to know the town and the people in it during our winter break and are feeling quite accomplished. This evening having shot Steve and Todd’s headshots, who are our neighbors at our Studio. Steve owns his own settlement firm here in Warrenton. We will be photographing Steve, his wife and 9 children this upcoming Saturday! We are so excited as they are all home schooled and have not recently had any photos taken in a while. His children range from 6 months to 14 years so it should be really fun!!!
And now for the update as many of you have been waiting… our bunny drama! Today the first two have finally opened their eyes as they are all beginning to hoppity hop around! Instinct is also kicking in as they are now hoping over to the potty area of the cage and going potty and some of their eyes aren’t even open yet! Okay so who can say these little critters aren’t just adorable! Although the drawback is that Momma isn’t so friendly these days and some say that she will return to her normal state once the bunnies stop nursing. I hope so, as we were really enjoying her. It looks like we are also getting quite attached to two of the little ones but inevitably will have to take the one’s that are still left back to the pet shop sometime right before Easter, hopefully they will be able to find them all happy suitable homes!

After I shot the above image, I went back the next day and the same scene I shot with three different exposures (bracket) and merged the files in Photoshop using HDR and this is the result – produced a 32-bit depth file which is almost impossible to view the full range on a computer monitor. The image is converted to 16-bit jpeg file and then saved for the web in PS CS2. The colours may be little off as they were shot on two different days with different weather and light conditions.

Okay so we have six new baby bunnies and thankfully a slow week as we have been making sure that Mom and babies are well taken care of. Mommy, which we have renamed “Flower†is taking extremely good care of her little ones as it is almost so fascinating to see how mother nature jumps into play, simply by instinct! Just watching her maintain the nest along with the babies and the temperature fluctuations by placing and removing shavings and fur as she sees fit. Here are a few shots of the newborns at 2.5 days old as they are beginning to grow their hair. They are so cute and I have my eyes on the black one with the white stripe down the middle of his head. That one may be a keeper as long as it is a she! We are just so excited and thrilled as according to all our research they will be up and ready to run about and eat on their own on Christmas day! We will certainly be updating and keeping everyone informed on the progress of our newborns, as our next wedding will not be until the 30th of December. December for most wedding photographers can be the slowest month of the year beside all the print orders that is! However sometimes it would be nice if we could clone ourselves! We thought we would do our version of “Harry Potter†only “The Regeti’s†instead!
For many of you who follow our blog you may remember our litter trained bunny rabbit “Casperâ€, he was purchased on Black Friday and we have just been beside ourselves with how much a pleasure our new bunny has been. However this morning as I was doing the three day cage change low and behold:
‘Twas the night before December 10th, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a MOUSE;
The lights were all off,
In hopes that we all would get a good sleep;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And Srinu in his jammi’s, and I in my slippers,
Had just settled down for a long winter’s nap,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But our male bunny, and six tiny bunnideer,
Now a new Mommy, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be a trick!.
More rapid than eagles I pinched and I pinched,
Although not dreaming it really did hurt.
For those undecided as Christmas is near,
How about a new bunny to ring in the “New Year�
