After a great RP Boudoir Marathon in NYC last weekend we are off again for another Marathon in Ohio today. We will return to the office on Tuesday however if you should need to reach us while we are away, drop us an email or call us at 703.314.7861. So many of you can recognize this frequently posted Bride. She is one of the popular faces of Regeti’s, Megan! We have officially followed her from her engagement down to maternity and will hopefully, if timing is on our side, we will be heading into the delivery room with her! Not for the extreme details of her delivery but to document her laboring and in the end the birth of Megan and Brandon’s little baby girl! We are so excited and touched by the fact they would even ask us! As we are honored that they would trust us as if family to be part of their special day, once more! So let’s just say the Regeti’s are officially ON CALL!
We were asked by one of our previous clients Kristy who works for the Marriott to photograph a LAUNCH Party for one of the local Marriott’s that has just been renovated. Mostly detail shots for some marketing collateral. Here are some of the shots we got!

We wanted to quickly post a note in regards to our Marathons as we typically do get a lot of emails in regards to them the weekend after we have one.
Our Boudoir Marathons are strictly to cater to our bridal clientele regardless of whether we are shooting your wedding or not we only serve brides and the Mrs. wishing to present their significant others with a tasteful and unique anniversary gift. The Marathons are always done in good taste no NUDES or anything that would be considered by Regeti’s to be distasteful. Our approach is provocative with an artful classiness. We are a traveling husband and wife team providing a safe and comfortable session to many girls country wide. The Marathon’s simply allow us to bring our boudoir sessions out of our studio and into your city of choice. Due to demand we can only do 4 in a given year. Two in the Late Winter/Early Spring and two in the Late Fall/Early Winter. Our latest bunny update is that we now have fully grown rabbits and are allowing those interested to let us know their request as far as the bunnies. We will be giving them out on a first come first serve basis. Here are shots of each individual bunny, although mama “Flower†is ours, and the brown mixed one is currently on hold till Jill and Scott work it all out 
They are 5 weeks old and fully weaned. We will be letting them go to new homes starting next week itself once we return from our Cincinnati Marathon. If you are interested or have already emailed me that you would like one, please email me to let me know which one you would like me to hold for you. We are only giving them to good homes that have the bunnies best interest at heart as they are well socialized and will need lots of love!
So we are back from NYC and we had a BLAST! We did not have quite as much time with Scott and Jill as we would have loved to have spent, but we got some pretty great shots and all the girls were a delight to work with! Thanks everyone for such a successful Marathon in NYC!
When we first hit the city we hit an Irish Pub for dinner. I was carded and without ID which was a little embarrassing and the hilarious part was it was just to get in the door! We pretty much spent the rest of Friday evening walking the city, it truly is the city that never sleeps! In the middle of the night there are horns and sirens, talk about loss of sleep! I got to give it to the New Yorkers for sleeping through all that. Later in the morning talk of the town was that a gentleman jumped off the building across the street! Yikes, all of our girls then said, “Welcome to the city!â€
Saturday was a long day going from 8am till 3:30am totally wasn’t the plan, but we partied, those “New Yorkers†never sleep! Moving into Sunday starting at noon and wrapping up at 4pm. So we didn’t have much time to hang out or visit the city, but we definitely will be back soon!

After retaining our services our clients sometimes provide us with feedback in their search to find the right photographer. Many will say “It is over whelming as there is such a price difference. Knowing what to look for can be so hard. I knew I wanted to have great photos, but I also knew what I could afford. I wanted to know that I was getting not only a great photographer, but a good value for what I am paying, and I found that.â€
Many things need to be taken into consideration when shopping for your photographer. It can be quite dangerous when your memories are dependant upon price alone. I always tell our potential clients that “What is most important about finding the right photographer is not about shopping for a great rate, but rather looking at what is included in the rate and what services are you truly paying for.†Find out how they operate and what they feel sets them apart. Any good photographer is current in their market and should know what sets them apart. Ask them, you just may be inspired!
Some things can explain the cost of a well established, dedicated and experienced photographer. Do the images look finished? Taking the shot is only part of the job. What has your experience been when communicating with them? Are they prompt, courteous, and responsive to your needs? After all, it is a service that you are paying for and you will have to deal with them throughout the planning process. Knowing that you are going to get a prompt response when you need it can be very reassuring. People skills are also important as well. Your over all experience with your photographer will be based on these main principles because all of them play a vital role in how the whole communication process of your planning will be when dealing with the vendor, just because he/she is a great photographer is no excuse to not be prompt, you are paying for a service not just for the day of service.
Photography in general is one of those markets where you truly get what you pay for. Art is not cheap although replicas can be found. You alone determine the worth of your memories. Photographs will vary and no two photographers will be the same when it comes to the eye, and the creative process. So as you can see, there is much more then just price to consider when determing who will photograph your special day.
