After an evening out at the Willard and havng cocktails with Preston Bailey and Sylvia Weinstock and Terri who is our PR for marketing and sales it had me thinking a little about the DC bridal market along with the diverse bridal market in the DC area and who we feel are some of the premiere yet still reasonably priced vendors in the area. In the next post I will give some shout outs as to some wonderful vendors.
If you live in the DC/Baltimore area you have most likely seen a Guernsey truck roll by! We had the privilige to photograph their annual vendor party last evening in which we were able to also see the latest in goods as well. Anyone familiar with the Regeti’s knows that our packaging is a big part of who and what we are and let me tell you 2008 is looking really awesome as we truly have some great vendors on our team to our branding and are looking forward to supporting a few networking meetings as well this year. For those wedding vendors out there checking out the blog stay tuned for the “RP House Party” where we will be opening up our studio for some fabulous networking opportunities with the areas finest. When we say finest we truly mean the finest! Stay tuned!
Martha and Jim will be getting married this month at the Newton White Mansion (NWM). One of our favorite places to shoot because it is just beautiful there. We are hoping that the cold front keeps away at least on their wedding day in order for us to do some great photos without the cold rushing us in-doors, so all you blog watchers out there cast your vote for Feb. to stay warm for just a little longer! We will see you two soon!
Carrie and Jim were married at the Airlie Center in Warrenton just 5 minutes from us! Typically we don’t do many events out in the Warrenton area however it was super nice to have a wedding close to home. They were suppose to have an outdoor ceremony however Airlie decided that due to safety concerns it would have to be held indoors. Either way the day went beautifully and the couple were able to have a nice quiet intimate ceremony in doors thanks to Lisa Schultz with Posh Events who is just amazing to work with and totally on top of her game!
Congrats to Annie and Eric who will be having a destination wedding in May! All the best to you both!
Once more we are honored to have been asked to be the official photographers for the MDA Gala in DC this year. Benjamin our associate photographer will be covering the event. How jealous am I that Tony Danza will be their entertainment for the evening as I grew up in love with the movie “She’s Out of Control”. Goodness that makes me feel so old! To think of it even “Who’s the boss?” that was another all time favorite of mine.

We received a “King Cake” from Louisiana that was just to die for! Nothing like the ones we get here at the grocery store by any means! Thank you Cler and Joe for the cake as it was much enjoyed by the kids and us! For those of you who aren’t familiar with the cake, here ya go straight from Cler:
“For tradition sake, the person who gets the baby will buy the next king cake and also you are declared the
queen of the function or in your case, queen of the Regeti house hold. Some mardi gras krewes do this tradition to select their queens and kings for that year. 
”
For those of you who haven’t had a “King Cake”, “Giant Food” grocery stores carry them!
Our images were used the last issue of The Piedmont Virginian magazine to feature Lynn the owner of the “Black Horse Inn’s” wedding. It is amazing at how much our style has changed even since her wedding in 2006, however still we pride ourselves on the fact that they were still used
