Lucky enough for us our Associate Ben has decided that July would be a good time to have a baby and luck enough for Donna and Eric that Marie and Hank just happened to know a pretty good photographer We are just so thrilled that Eric and Donna have made it into our top 25 weddings for this year! Talk about photogenic, this totally is Donna working the glass, truly I don’t think anyone could take a bad photograph of her and Eric.

Last time we were at Oxon Hill it was for the Engaged! Magazine luncheon with Sylvia Weinstock and boy are we excited to be having our first wedding out there on the grounds! The view and property are simply breath taking … Donna and Eric added to it may just make the heart skip a beat!

Some powerful stuff that was hearing Liz who was Marie’s MOH speak during their reception. Marie and Hank were married during a quaint church ceremony right on the outskirts of Georgetown followed by a beautiful reception at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda. One of our largest bridal parties in a while I must admit.. on the American/Christian wedding side of things that is! We are blessed to be able to cover so many different ethnic ceremonies that it’s so awesome to go out and always be on top of our game ready for the unexpected to happen!

Marie and Hank certainly had some of the best on their wedding day covering all the details… Monica West from Special Occasions on the planning end. We just love her! Her personality and friendly smile will turn the biggest of frowns upside down and the fact that she is totally on top of things each and every time we have worked with her makes her service impeccable. Dexter Fields of Chambers and Fields was on the florals with his team as they blew everyone away with their floral designs… I think that we are just simply in love with these two men and their ability to create all things wonderful! Great job everyone… and to our couple…

Hank and Marie… in few words all we can say is that photographing your wedding for us… was simply just meant to be. WIthout the details (anyone involved knows that although their first choice until they decided to change their date) we were not available to cover their wedding, but as luck and a little faith from above so had it … we were present and counted for! It was with great joy, excitement and pleasure we were part of your wedding day. Congratulations as the two of you embark on a journey that anyone who is without is so missing out on. Something so great, that those of us who have it know it is… “Love”.

So yesterday the Regeti crew covered the Yaddein Weddings bridal show at the Hyatt in Fair Lakes. We met several new faces as well as chit-chatted with old friends in the industry that we know and absolutely love! Needless to say there is always that one professional that you meet for the first time that leaves an impression on you that you just can’t shake whether because of their pleasant smile, professional manner, keen dress sense or just their awesome product! Many of you who personally know “The Regeti’s” know that I am the “paper snob”! I just love the feel of great paper or simply a well done piece of work… well…

I think that we have spotted DC’s next top find… Mrs. Arti Anand with Zoya Couture! For all you ladies out there still stressing about the perfect invitation, guest cards (that are printed and not written on!), menu cards… here she is! I only wish we had a head shot of her, no worries we are on it! Check her out…

Congratulations to the newlyweds, who will hit their honeymoon in May! What a beautiful month to honeymoon if I may say so myself, not that I am partial to the month for any particular reason ;-P

Decorated by Mrs. Prabha Bhambri herself this was another wonderful and fabulous event well executed. Anjali and Sunil had some really cool concepts and ideas plugged in with a few ideas of their decorator they really had a very nice celebration! Surprise after surprise came for their guests keeping everyone entertained and interactive, right down to a digital guest book that we totally had a blast doing for them! I think the confetti may very well be my favorite from the day, ah but a close tie with the Rolls Royce that they drove into the ballroom in…

Event EQ totally hooked us up with their wonderful lighting techniques… we cannot express how important lighting for any event truly is without it our job certainly would be a lot harder to accomplish! Thanks guys you are always so fabulous! And the Baltimore Waterfront Marriott, Susan was just fabulous and worked so very hard to make sure everyone was happy and taken care of…

A very quick and sincere “Thank You” to Ryan and Mackenzie our Associate team for all their hard work and wonderful shots that added to the post here today!

Now onto the couple and out with all my babble! Mr & Mrs. Sunil Gupta! Yay!

The Regeti’s! We almost did not believe it! Honestly we were not preparing in any way for a win as we were just honored to receive 2 nominations on our first try, none the less to take home an award for “Best Social Photography”!

When I went up to accept the award it was like I had so much I wanted to say and a few really important people to thank, but that went out the window as the emotions just over took me. Once they said our name and I was up there it became so surreal! Srinu and I have watched ISES for a good 3-4 years and honestly never joined because of the commitment it involves with attending and the awesome and talented individuals that are so very active within the organization, we wanted to be sure that we were worthy of playing in the big leagues . Then it was decided a year ago to date that we were just going to do it! And we did… we have never felt so welcomed in a group before … and to think… Why were we so scared? We truly feel that we are part of something special, powerful and most of all great!

Now for what I really wanted to say before my emotions got the best of me!

First and foremost to Srinu… the man who has brought so much not only to my life, but out of me. He is my cushion to every fall, he is my strength when I need it the most. It is fortunate for the two of us that together we are able to make such wonderful magic. For that we both thank the Lord above. Not only is he my husband and the father to our wonderful children, he is my very best friend. Without him my soul would forever be searching… I love you will all of my being!

To Terri Perry our dearest friend… for always keeping us focused, grounded and reminding us all the time that what we do has purpose and meaning and not to forget it! Night or day your always there and we just want you to know that it is appreciated in so many ways. To her hubby “Big Al” for sharing her when he certainly could keep her all for himself! And for proofing all our binders on such short notice! We love you both dearly!

To our team here at RP for cheering and rooting for us! For having faith in what we represent as a brand and for loving our business as much as we do. You guys are awesome and we could not have chose a better staff!

To MIkel and David and ALL the rest of our clients for just being you and allowing us in on the most important day of your lives to document and preserve memories that will forever be a part of who you are. It is with great pleasure that we serve all of you!
